Their recorded message gives only the showings times, NOT the theater number. Nor can you discover - in advance - if the film you hope to see is in one of these new, “nose-to-the-screen” micro-theaters. Management will cordially refund your ticket price if you can’t cope with the optical strain but that does not repair your disrupted evening at a movie. If you don’t get there early enough to grab some rear row seats, near the handicapped section, you are in for two hours or more of discomfort. The screens are just too wide and the seating too close for your eyes’ angle of acceptance to take it in as a single image. You are forced to scan the screen - left to right, right to left - to take in the full projected images. The expanded Metro has new theaters with terribly designed seating. Only complaint is the half hour of ads & previews before the show started, but otherwise an outstanding venue which we’ll visit again! For sure a special movie treat if you get gift cards for family & friends! They’ve also just added “house-made” food to their menu! Some say they have the best popcorn in town, reasonably priced, & with great topping selections. We loved the coziness of this little theater! The high-backed, cushioned seats were so comfortable, with nicely tiered seating, good leg room, and cup holders for drinks. There’s also 2-hour, free parking on nearby streets – about a 5-minute walk away, with nearby restaurants too. Metered parking is just steps from the theater entryway (free after 6 pm, and on Sundays). “Fantastic Fungi” is definitely FANTASTIC – a mesmerizing, & exquisitely entertaining film that will keep you spellbound to the very end! Check the Broadway Metro’s website for other movies & showtimes. Matinees are only $6 (to 4 pm), and it’s up-close & personal viewing, with every seat in the house good! Don’t miss “Fantastic Fungi” now playing at this delightful downtown theater.
